Hampton County won against Whale Branch last Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Hurricanes didn't even let the Warriors on the board, marking the Hurricanes' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Chris Terry was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. Terry was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Charles Williams, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Owen Shaffer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Hampton County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Hampton County and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Whale Branch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Hampton County will square off against Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Whale Branch, they will take on Barnwell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warhorses will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
