Catholic Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They put the hurt on the Bellaire Big Reds with a sharp 61-39 win. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.

Bellaire lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caleb Jewell, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raekwon Pettigrew, who earned nine points.

Catholic Central pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bellaire, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Catholic Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellaire, they will be playing at home against Weir at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
