Baseball Recap: Jackson Wins Going Away Against Luella

Jackson had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Luella on Tuesday. Everything went the Jackson Jaguars' way against the Luella Lions as the Jackson Jaguars made off with a 13-3 victory. Considering the Jaguars have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Maceo White, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Jackson is 3-1 when White posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Pearce Henry, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Luella only posted an OBP of .240.

Jackson now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Luella, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Jackson has already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Drew on the 5th. As for Luella, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Cambridge on the 6th.
