Illini Bluffs's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 14-9 win over the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won four in a row.

Brendan Bacon was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Cole McCoy also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Illini Bluffs' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Illini Bluffs will be playing at home against Macomb at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are facing the Bombers at the right time seeing as the Bombers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they are taking a road trip to square off against Brimfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
