Edison Academy came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 51.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Ferndale Eagles 77-27. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Edison Academy's record is now 19-7. As for Ferndale, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-16 record.

Looking ahead, Edison Academy will take on Detroit Country Day in a tournament on Tuesday. Detroit Country Day knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Edison Academy likes a good challenge. Ferndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
