In what's become a running theme this season, the Central Chargers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They blew past Northeast 65-33 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Central sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Despite the loss, Northeast saw an underclassman step up: Jada Smith scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Central is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Northeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
Central and Academy for Classical Education will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Academy for Classical Education will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Central is ranked 114th). As for Northeast, Northeast and Kendrick will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kendrick is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses.
