After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Center, The Bear River Bruins were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Wheatland by a score of 21-14. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bear River also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
The critical scores for Bear River came from Brady Moorlag and Blake Simning.
Despite the loss, Wheatland still got an impressive performance from Kayden Glover, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Glover was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Bear River's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Wheatland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Bear River will head out on the road to face off against Colfax at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheatland, they will be playing at home against Sutter at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Sutter is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
