Southeast Kansas recap November 19, 2013
Field Kindley made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 653 from 1,308. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 35-27 victory over Baldwin last week.
The Golden Tornado led Southeast Kansas in scoring this week by notching 35 points on the Bulldogs. Nathan Finley threw for 177 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 14 yards in the win.
Field Kindley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Golden Tornado feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Finley has thrown for 2,099 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, while Darron Deffebaugh has 25 catches for 799 yards.
Destin Downing of the Field Kindley is only 81 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 92 carries Downing has put up 919 yards this year.
The longest pass in the league this week was acheived by Murray Zogg's team's Finley. He connected with Deffebaugh on a 54-yard pass as the Golden Tornado defeated Baldwin.
