The Horeb Christian Mustangs took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 58-48 victory over Edison Private. That's another feather in the cap for Horeb Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Horeb Christian found their leader in underclassman Manny Cid, Jr., who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Gonzalez, who scored 11 points.
Horeb Christian's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Edison Private, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Horeb Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Cristo Rey at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Edison Private, they will head out on the road to face off against Sheridan Hills Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sheridan Hills Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
