The Forestview Jaguars will venture away from home to square off against the Huss Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Forestview took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They really took it to Bessemer City for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-36 win. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 37 points or more this season.

Forestview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sa'Ryah McCorkle out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. McCorkle is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Amani Neely, who went 8 of 17 en route to 20 points along with five assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, Huss beat Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy 68-57 on Tuesday.
Huss' win came from a few key players Forestview will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brooklyn Swann, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Arielle Camp, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Forestview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Huss, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Forestview has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 36.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Huss struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Forestview lost to Huss on the road by a decisive 65-51 margin in their previous meeting back in February. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Swann, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Now that Forestview knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
