After a string of five wins, The Warrior Run Defenders''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 28-21 to Mifflinburg. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Warrior Run in their matchups with Mifflinburg: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Warrior Run still got an impressive performance from Colby Lebarron, who rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns.
Even if they lost, Warrior Run's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Leading the way was Isaiah Betz and his two sacks.
Leading Mifflinburg to victory were Cole Reibsome and Troy Dressler. Reibsome threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns, while Dressler picked up 105 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Warrior Run's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Mifflinburg, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warrior Run will square off against Milton on Friday. Milton will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Mifflinburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Lewisburg on Friday.
