Meanwhile, Belleview Christian lost to Dawson School on the road by a decisive 37-20 margin on Thursday. Belleview Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Belleview Christian saw an underclassman step up: Thiara scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Thiara hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Ivy Esch was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Lone Star has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Belleview Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
