The Leland & Gray Rebels will venture away from home to take on the Windsor Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Leland & Gray knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Windsor likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, Leland & Gray got the win against Woodstock by a conclusive 17-1. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Wasps recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

McKinley Bertram was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Sophia Hallock and Molly Bingham did most of the damage at the plate: Hallock went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Bingham went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Hallock a new career-high. Julia Devine was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs.
Leland & Gray kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Windsor's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 14-11 to Otter Valley.
Molly Burke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits.
At the plate, Cassie Clark made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Brown, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Windsor suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 8-3. As for Leland & Gray, their record is now 10-3.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Leland & Gray hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like Windsor struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Leland & Gray got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Windsor by a conclusive 10-1 score. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
