After a string of three wins, the Frankton Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a hard 54-40 fall against Tipton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Frankton in their matchups with Tipton: they've now lost three in a row.
Frankton's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Javon Miller, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolton Imel, who scored 7 points.
Nolan Swan was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 23 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Tipton's points. Grady Carpenter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Frankton's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Tipton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Frankton will head out on the road to face off against Eastbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tipton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Western at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
