The Westbrook Wildcats are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Sands Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. Westbrook will be strutting in after a win while Sands will be coming in after a loss.
After only 23 points in their last game, Westbrook made sure to put some points up on the board against Colorado on Monday. Westbrook enjoyed a cozy 62-47 victory over Colorado. Given Westbrook's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while Colorado is ranked 1109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Sands unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Sweetwater by a score of 41-38.
Westbrook's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-6. As for Sands, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Westbrook came up short against Sands when the teams last played back in December of 2018, falling 52-39. Can Westbrook avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
