The River Valley Dust Devils will take on the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
River Valley's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Chino Valley. The victory was familiar territory for the Dust Devils, who have now won four contests in a row.
Sophia Reyes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Tamarie Williams was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. Peyton Beggs was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
River Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Yuma Catholic made easy work of Odyssey Institute on Tuesday and carried off a 16-0 win.
The result came thanks to Haven Hartman's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Faith Donley, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Autumn Moffatt, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs.
The victory got River Valley back to even at 5-5. As for Yuma Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 15-3-1.
