Hylton has gone a perfect 6-0 against Osbourn recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Hylton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.6 runs per game this season.
Hylton couldn't beat Woodbridge on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Bulldogs lost 14-7 to the Vikings.
Luana Plummer was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Dreyfuss, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contest, Osbourn brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against Park View on Thursday as they made off with a 20-2 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
MacKenzie Fitterer made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Osbourn got a massive performance out of Britney Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Reyes has posted since back in March. Tristyn Kershner was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Osbourn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .730. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Park View only posted an OBP of .286.
Hylton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Osbourn, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Osbourn's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hylton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Osbourn, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Hylton's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Hylton came out on top in a nail-biter against Osbourn when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
