Frannie Gimbl made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-6 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

In other batting news, Lee Smedstad was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Smedstad is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Delanie Gilda, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Holy Names Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Interlake struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, Bishop Blanchet put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lincoln 11-1. The game marked the Bears' most dominant win of the season so far.
Bishop Blanchet's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Holy Names Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
