LBJ Austin had won three straight  games  and  Marquis Murry II did his part to make it four on Friday. The Jaguars claimed a resounding  71-7 win over the Northeast Early College Raiders for which the team can thank  Murry II, who rushed for 100 yards and four  touchdowns on only seven carries. He is becoming a predictor of LBJ Austin's success: when he posts  at  least two  rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
 Javarlyn Smith also helped out as he racked up 135 receiving yards. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 77 yards.
 LBJ Austin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Smith and  Trace Lamar. Smith got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
LBJ Austin's record is now 6-2. As for Northeast Early College,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-7.
 Coming up, LBJ Austin will face off against Taylor at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Jaguars will need to watch out since the Ducks have now posted at least 31  points  in their last four contests. As for Northeast Early College, they will challenge Travis at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
