While Winterset's win against Ballard wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies had just enough and edged out the Bombers 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Bombers: they've now won five in a row.

Winterset's win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Ballard, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Winterset will square off against rival A-D-M at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Huskies 3.8, the Tigers 1.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Ballard is set to face off against their familiar foe Boone at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
