Elgin came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Cache Bulldogs as they made off with a 13-6 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 on Monday.
Ritson Meyer made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Meyer was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since March 2nd.
