Oakwood is 1-9 against Faith Christian since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Oakwood Eagles' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Faith Christian Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Monday, Oakwood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-29 to Northeast Academy.
Faith Christian suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They suffered a rough 88-62 loss at the hands of Harrells Christian Academy. Faith Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-27.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Michael Grant, who scored 24 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bennie Griffin, who scored 18 points.
Oakwood bumped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road. As for Faith Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Oakwood was dealt a bruising 81-23 loss at the hands of Faith Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Can Oakwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
