The Blue Ridge Christian Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Grace Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Blue Ridge Christian is ranked 256th, while Grace Christian is ranked 268th).
Last Friday, Blue Ridge Christian came up short against Faith Christian and fell 50-43. Blue Ridge Christian has not had much luck with Faith Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Grace Christian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-42 loss to Roanoke Valley Christian on Tuesday.
Despite the defeat, Grace Christian had strong showings from Justin Hain, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds, and Davis Reid, who scored 14 points along with five assists and two blocks. Reid has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played.
Blue Ridge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Grace Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.
Blue Ridge Christian was dealt a bruising 59-32 defeat at the hands of Grace Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2023.
