On Friday, Tennyson had to suffer through a rough 42-12 loss at the hands of Moreau Catholic. Tennyson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Among those leading the charge was Jayden Bryant, who rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Bryant was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Charles, who threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt.
Tennyson's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Moreau Catholic, James Logan, and Antioch. As for Moreau Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Tennyson will head out on the road to face off against Castro Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Castro Valley is ranked 595th, while Tennyson is ranked 611th). As for Moreau Catholic, they will be playing at home against James Logan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. James Logan will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
