It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Otis ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They blew past the McClave Cardinals 19-8. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by eight runs or more this season.

Gavin Price made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Price was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-6 with four stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tayte Smith, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Stivers, who went 1-for-5 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Otis' win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for McClave, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Otis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-1 victory against Wiley on the 17th. As for McClave, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-2 win against Stratton on the 19th.
