Even though the Collins Titans scored an imposing 65 points on Thursday, the Scott Eagles still came out on top. Scott managed a 71-65 victory over Collins.
Scott's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Giffen, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Giffen continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Evans, who scored 17 points.
Scott's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Collins, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott and Aiken will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Aiken has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 419 points over their last six matchups. Collins will finish 2023 at home by hosting Somerset at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Somerset is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
