The Kingman Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Chino Valley Cougars at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Kingman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Kingman is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Yuma Catholic on Friday. They lost 18-2 to the Shamrocks. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Shamrocks: they've now lost nine in a row.

Kingman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Canton Collins, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Chino Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Blue Ridge on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Yellow Jackets by a score of 5-4.

Chino Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8-1 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Kingman, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kingman has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Chino Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Kingman couldn't quite finish off Chino Valley when the teams last played two weeks ago and fell 3-1. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
