The First Baptist School Hurricanes were the 59-46 winner over the Cane Bay Cobras when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. First Baptist School took a serious blow against Cane Bay on Saturday, falling 80-51.
Cane Bay had a senior duo take command as Isaac Smalls scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals and Curtrell Dixon scored 21 points. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarvis Roper, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
First Baptist School has fallen quite a ways from their 20-5 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Cane Bay, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
First Baptist School will head out on the road to face off against Woodland at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Cane Bay and Summerville will face off at 8:30 p.m. on December 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Summerville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
