Basketball Recap: Tri-State Christian Takes a Loss

Tri-State Christian was the 29-23 winner over Galesburg Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tri-State Christian Huskies lost to the Galesburg Christian Lions at home by a 38-22 margin on Tuesday. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Tri-State Christian still got an impressive performance from Catherine Benedict, who posted six points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Benedict a new career-high in blocks (three). Alice Udelhofen was another key player, putting up two points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Tri-State Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Galesburg Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-State Christian will challenge Quad Cities Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Quad Cities Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Galesburg Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Faith Christian at 5:00 p.m. Faith Christian will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Galesburg Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
