The King Panthers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They enjoyed a cozy 37-20 victory over Clear Falls on Friday. The win was familiar territory for King who now have three in a row.
It was another big night for Darius Clark-James, who threw for 183 yards and four touchdowns. Vincent Jones did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 47 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Clear Falls still got an impressive performance from Landon Vessel, who rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Vessel was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.
King's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Clear Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
King is on the road again on Friday and play against Fort Bend Hightower at 10:00 a.m. on November 24th. Fort Bend Hightower is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. Clear Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
