The team also got some help courtesy of  Carlie Martin, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and ten  assists.
 Mt. Vernon's defeat was  their fifth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 7-14. As for McDonald County, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 11 of their last 12 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record  this season.
 Mt. Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McDonald County, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Marshfield at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Marshfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
