Make it 18 blowout wins for the PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays this season. They blew past Illini Central/Greenview, posting a 67-27 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central sure is getting used to it with their 12th in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karlie Hoke, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoke has scored all season. Jayce Privia was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine assists.
PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central pushed their record up to 26-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Illini Central/Greenview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central will square off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Athens will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Bluejays are ranked 34th). As for Illini Central/Greenview, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
