When it comes to explaining why Van Horn lost, one person who can't be blamed is Taylor Martinez. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times she's played.
Van Horn's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8. As for Balmorhea, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
