The Clearfield Falcons will take on the Box Elder Bees at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Clearfield got the win against Northridge by a conclusive 14-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.
Jenna Lloyd was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Abbie Hale was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyla Leonhardt, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Clearfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge only posted an OBP of .400.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Box Elder). Everything went their way against Roy on Thursday as they made off with a 24-1 win. The Bees have beaten the Royals the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Royals has come to flipping the script.
Lucy Braegger looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Box Elder got a massive performance out of Kailee Hall, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Jenna Marble also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.
Clearfield pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.6 runs over those games. As for Box Elder, their record is now 14-2.
Clearfield might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Box Elder when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
