The Cape Henlopen Vikings extended their postseason success on Friday against the Sussex Central Golden Knights. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 46-14 win over the Golden Knights. Considering Cape Henlopen has won five matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Maurki James was his usual excellent self, rushing for 191 yards and four touchdowns. James has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last eight times he's played.
Malik Bell and Jajuan Sturgis certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Bell rushed for 126 yards, while Sturgis rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Cape Henlopen is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Sussex Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Cape Henlopen is on the road again on Thursday and play against Salesianum at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Salesianum is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. Sussex Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
