Canoga Park is on a four-game streak of home losses, Reseda a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Canoga Park Hunters will take on the Reseda Regents at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canoga Park comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Canoga Park had to suffer through a rough 37-7 loss at the hands of Van Nuys.
Despite the defeat, Canoga Park saw an underclassman step up: Dallas Lakey rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Canoga Park's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Jonathan Lopez and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Reseda was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 28-24 to Van Nuys.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Canoga Park against Reseda in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 49-0 win. Does Canoga Park have another victory up their sleeve, or will Reseda turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
