Forest had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt DeLand on Wednesday.  In other batting news,  Mahri Lingle was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing three bases while going 4-for-4. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Naomi Meyer, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs.
 Forest  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They are 7-3 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Forest's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 10-8. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for DeLand,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-8.
 Looking ahead, Forest will face off against Lake Minneola at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for DeLand, they will square off against Seminole at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
