The Northern Michigan Christian Comets won the last time they faced the Pine River Area Bucks, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Northern Michigan Christian walked away with a 55-46 victory over Pine River Area.
Pine River Area's loss came despite strong showings from Mason Gugle and Trevor Holmquist. Gugle scored 19 points along with six rebounds, while Holmquist scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and two steals.
Northern Michigan Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Pine River Area, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.

As for Pine River Area, they will head out on the road to take on Roscommon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roscommon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 434th, while Pine River Area is ranked 202nd).
