Elmwood-Murdock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tatum Backemeyer, who scored 19 points along with five steals. Backemeyer hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Mans, who scored 20 points along with five steals.
Elmwood-Murdock pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.67 points. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elmwood-Murdock won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fillmore Central at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Fillmore Central is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Lourdes Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Sterling on Tuesday.
