You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Laney on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Pender Patriots out of the water with a 67-28 final score. The Buccaneers have beaten the Patriots the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Patriots has come to flipping the script.

Laney was led to victory by Colin Lamb and Kareem Anderson. Lamb shot 73% from the field en route to 16 points and five steals, while Anderson made all 6 shots he took for 15 points and four steals. Those five steals gave Lamb a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Whit Lamb, who posted ten points.

Laney's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pender, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Laney won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cardinal Gibbons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
