The Larchmont Charter Timberwolves can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 70-49 margin over Foshay. The victory was nothing new for Larchmont Charter as they're now sitting on five straight.
Larchmont Charter was led to victory by Nicolas Ojeda and Oliver Block. Ojeda scored 20 points, while Block scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Block has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cypress Williams, who scored 12 points.
Foshay's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peter Egwurube, who almost dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 19 rebounds, and nine blocks. Egwurube has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 13 times he's played. Shomare' Gray was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Larchmont Charter's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. As for Foshay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
Larchmont Charter will be playing at home against Animo South Los Angeles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Foshay, they will head out on the road to square off against Horace Mann UCLA Community at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Foshay is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.9 points per game this season.
