The Archie Whirlwinds suffered their closest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 64-61 to Wellington-Napoleon, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Archie has not had much luck with Wellington-Napoleon recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Trotter Hughes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wellington-Napoleon, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Wiggins, who scored eight points.
Archie's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Wellington-Napoleon, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archie will take on Jasper at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Grove is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
