The Plainview Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Sulphur Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Plainview will be strutting in after a win while Sulphur will be coming in after a defeat.
Plainview had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Marlow out 24-21. The victory was just what Plainview needed coming off of a 57-28 loss in their prior matchup.
Plainview's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cooper Flowers, who rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 205 yards and a touchdown while completing 74.1% of his passes. Plainview also got a significant boost from BLAKE STEWART, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 92 yards.
Meanwhile, Sulphur unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 35-14 loss at the hands of Heritage Hall.
Plainview now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Sulphur, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Plainview couldn't quite finish off Sulphur when the teams last played back in November of 2022 and fell 29-27. Can Plainview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
