After two weeks on the road, Osage is heading back home. West Branch and Osage go head to head on Friday at 7:00 PM in their first playoff game of the year. After the teams both made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
West Branch were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They took their contest against Beckman last Friday by a conclusive 48-24 score. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for West Branch, who can brag about seven blowout wins.
Meanwhile, Osage might be getting used to good results now that the team has six wins in a row. They blew past Aplington-Parkersburg 34-7. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 20-0.
Their wins bumped West Branch to 8-1 and Osage to 7-2. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
