The Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds will head out to face off against the Central Bucks South Titans at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Central Bucks South took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Holy Ghost Prep, who comes in off a win.
Holy Ghost Prep will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Dock Mennonite on Monday. The Firebirds' pitchers stepped up to hand the Pioneers a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Firebirds, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Matt Riendeau made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Holy Ghost Prep is 5-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Riendeau was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
