The Torres Toros had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 38-31 win over Maywood CES on Monday. The win was just what Torres needed coming off of a 67-28 defeat in their prior matchup.
Among those leading the charge was Oscar Gonzalez, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Guituierez, who scored eight points.
Torres' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14. As for Maywood CES, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Elizabeth is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Maywood CES, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
