Make it nine blowout wins for the Lake View Wild Gators this season. They took their match at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 65-28 victory over Dillon Christian. Winning may never get old, but Lake View sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Lake View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gwendasia Page, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 steals. Page is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Jaleya Ford was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Lake View pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Dillon Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake View won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lamar at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Lamar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Lake View is ranked 71st). Dillon Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against King's Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 19th.
