Edgerton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight  loss. They came up short against  the Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes, falling  3-0. The Flying Dutchmen were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Coyotes from their previous meeting  back in October of 2024.
 Edgerton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22,  25-19.
 Reese Vande Griend paced Edgerton's offense, picking up 12 kills. Vande Griend got some help from  Kya Voge and her 17 assists. Voge also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Cali Wagner, each putting up two.
Edgerton's loss dropped their record down to 4-16-1. As for Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  contests. After both having extra time off, Edgerton and Mountain Lake/Comfrey will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another  at 7:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda, they will venture away from home to  take on Jackson County Central  at 7:15  p.m.  on Monday.
