Hanahan has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Beaufort Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hanahan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Hanahan, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-29 loss to the Iron Horses. While losing is never fun, Hanahan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Iron Horses are ranked 66th).
Hanahan's loss came about despite a quality game from Jonah Auckenthaler, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 44.8% of Hanahan's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Beaufort pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-60 to North Charleston.
Hanahan dropped their record down to 6-16 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Beaufort, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Hanahan lost to the Eagles on the road by a decisive 50-33 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Hanahan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
