Softball Recap: Cloudland Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Cloudland had won six straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 9-4 to make it seven. They put the hurt on the University School Buccaneers with a sharp 14-3 victory. The Highlanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

As for University School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games.

For University School's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexandra Boynewicz, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Boynewicz has hit this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cloudland will square off against Hampton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for University School, they will challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
